I've got the 19.5 rockstar edition. Suspension updates are noticeable, more progressive from previous years. I've gone from an 18, regaulr 19 and now my 19.5 rockstar edition. Also motor wise, it has less engine breaking and more of a free revving engine, less gyro effect. Fantastic bike no complaints.

I have 100 hrs on my 16.5 450 FE, Figured it was time for a replacement...I won’t be riding this one until end of April ...I have read the standard 19 requires a remap for better throttle repsonse, wondering if they addressed that?

Seems like I'm working every weekend until infinity.
Nothing like a mid-week sand track to use on our own schedule (Quad, Golub, Secrets etc etc)....
Even Eignor's was an enormous improvement over the current situation.

9 years until retirement. But, who's counting ? Laughing
At least I managed to get an "OK, we'll look at houses" out of the other half. That step alone is a major victory.
On second thought, won't we miss being taxed to death and freezing our asses off half the year in the good Peoples Republic?

Hey sandman. Have you found anything yet that the f.e. really needs? I just picked one up a few days ago and I'm itching to get some seat time! Cool looking bikes for sure

I have 8 hrs on mine...I”m coming off a 2 month layoff from a minor injury & riding a 250 2t ,so I”m still adjusting to the 450 a bit. . I have a 2 stroke air filter cage, cut holes in air box inner flap for better air flow. Still felt throttle response and low to mid transition was sluggish, so I just had a remap done by the Moto Lab in Ct. my TPS setting was also a bit to low. I have not ridden since the remap. Plan on riding Saturday, excited to try it out. I do feel the chassis is stiffer than my 16.5 bike, I”m running about 105-106 mm of sag on rear shock and cone valve forks, I have had to slide forks around to get desired steering at certain tracks but o/all handling is vgood. Thought about going up 1 tooth on rear sprocket but with remap that may not be needed. We”ll see.

Thanks sandman that is really cool you have been riding the 2t as well. I was a bit worried the mid to top end on the 450 would be difficult to get used to but didn't expect the 450 would be lacking on the bottom. I'm interested to see how the remap helped!

I had my 16.5 remapped, I had become accustomed to the slight hesitation off the bottom by just using the clutch, after remap, the throttle response is just instant, much less clutch work results in better lap times & less fatigue. Nice 250sx! I rode my 18 250sx down in Florida most of the winter, I was really getting along with it coming back from ACl surgery, so I bought the FE450 thinking I was going to race this year, then On my last ride down in Florida before coming home, I broke my leg! Off the couch onto a 450 is not the best scenario for an old guy....

Dang that's a bummer! I definitely know how that goes. Part of the territory I suppose. Good luck on a speedy recovery!
