2018 ktm Xcf valve sheared off

Brand new 2018 xcf with 14 hours and one of the valve tops sheared off and locked up engine. Top end done, looking into bottom end now. KTM rep said they have had problems with this. Anyone had or heard of same issue. thanks.

What motor size? I've never heard of this...

2018 ktm 450 xcf, started to notice heavy ticking sound soon after first ride. Probably 6-7 easy rides on it. Will have pictures tomorrow.

Sounds like 2 piece valves with a manufacturing defect. Either that or the piston hit the valve, causing it to break...in which case you'd expect both valves to be broken. ( I had a suzuki eat a valve head. Valves had 20hrs on them, mild cam, clearances properly adjusted, and no issues with the valve seats or guides...shit just came apart)
