2018 250SXF stripped oil filter cover threads.

Went to tighten down the cover for my oil filter and pulled the threads out of the bottom bolt hole. I drilled, tapped it and used a helicoil. The only thing I don't know is if it's like Yamahas where oil runs through there where I drilled out. Do I need to do anything else or should it hold? I let it sit tight overnight and loosened and retightened it was fine, but I haven't ran it yet.
