Does anybody know if 2017 and 2016 clamps are the same ?

Unique from 2016 to 2017. "The top triple clamp has more meat to it for 2017 and additional ribbing underneath for increased rigidity. The bottom triple clamp is larger, stiffer and 2.5mm thicker where it clamps the fork stanchions (from 47mm thick to 49.5mm thick)". If I remember correctly, most riders' liked the 17's over the 16's for the more accurate front-end feel...

So my question would be if the 2016 clamps are ok with the 2017 forks ? Have a chance to p/u a really nice set of aftermarket clamps from a 2016.

They're like all the same, sans maybe an offset difference. I've got ride engineering clamps on my 16 that are bored for the spring a kit forks I have on it, that were definitely run on older generation frames.
