2017 TC250 Wheels Junk - Rims, spokes or both?

I'm at about 20 hours on my 2017 TC250 and the spokes are pretty much out of adjustment. I have another ride or 2 at best before it's time to dismount and replace the wheel sets. My question for those who have experienced this; Is it the rims, the spokes or both? I would hate to relace with new spokes only to find out the later that the rims are crap too. I always though Dirt Stars were decent rims.

I will add that since you have some time in them, may as well upgrade to some Dirt Star rims too.

I’m at 25 hours and I’ve never even gad to tighten a single spoke. Weird how some need it all the time and some don’t.

I've had some pretty hard flat lands from over shooting jumps.

The spokes on the Austrian bikes are bad. The rims are just as good (or bad if you look at it that way) as the Japanese bikes rims. OJ a slightly bigger jump and you'll have a dent on the rim no matter what bike you are on with stock rims, especially if you land a bit sideways.

56 hours on mine. No problems.

Very happy with quality of Tusk wheels on another bike.

Personally, every time I've bothered to relace a wheel I do new spokes/nipples/rims. Unless you have an issue where it's pretty much fine but 1 or 2 broken spokes.

Doing new spokes with a used rim can be annoying once you find the minor flat spots/bends in the rim while trying to true it.

I only used the stock wheels for a few hours but did have to keep on the spokes on that short time. I have a few wheelsets from FasterUSA that are great as mentioned.

I ride like a slow old man, and use a torque spoke wrench regularly.
No issues.
(Since 1983 when I came up short on a double on my new Yamaha TT600. Tachoed rim with numerous broken spokes. I also punched the bottom out stop through the shock at another track. I rode harder in those days - and wasn’t smart enough to NOT MX race a dirt bike that weighed the same as a VW Beetle.)
