Hello i have a 2017 ktm 150 this was my first big bike. I got the bike with 37 hours which I believe had been pretty hard riding. I then put 70 hours of moderate woods riding on it. The last 13 or so have been track days that have been pretty pinned out riding. Am i long overdue for a rebuild? Been getting very mixed thoughts from people ive talked to.

Rebuild?

I have a 2016 KTM 150 with about 160-170 hours so i decide to rebuilt.
Previous owner ride it hard for 60 hours on Sand Tracks the rest i rode normal MX.
For me everything Looks good without any signs of wear.
I think you can leave for another 50 hours depends on your riding style

At least do a top end. You can most likely wait until 150 hours to do the bottom end.

I did my full engine at 100 on a 2016 125, but I had a broken gear in the tranny.

Did you vapor blast the cylinder and engine? That cerakote color looks rad as well!

Unleaded tastes a little tangy. Supreme is kinda sour, and diesel tastes pretty good.

I would do full engine rebuild before the connecting rod bottom end bearing explodes. Over 100 hours is a lot for small bore two stroke with out rebuild if it has been ridden to it's full potential

Millienim Technology recoated my cylinder and media blasted all the parts before rebuilding it. I took the time a powder coated the frame as well. Basically rebuilt the bike so it was 100% fresh.

Have 24 hours on it now. Going to drop a new top end it in the next week or 2.

I’ve been using the PULP Mx discount on Vertex to buy my top end parts. I think it’s 10 or 20% off.

Top end, clean power valves, inspect reeds, & inspect rod for play...don’t wait for it to explode! .I felt guilty not putting a top end in my 250sx with 30hrs! Before I took it to Florida for more sand torture!
