Hello everyone. I got a 2017 KTM 350SXF and am having trouble starting it. It fires and fires for a while then will eventually start. Even after a while of running I need to use the cold start to start it. It will start right away usually if I use the cold start but if I don’t it won’t start. Checked valves and they are all in spec. Would it be inline fuel filter? Fuel injector? Any input would be great, thanks!
I would also suggest checking the condition of the battery. Do a load test, as if the battery is just down in voltage a bit it will be hard to start and may even turn over slow.

I put a WPS battery in mine, and it solved the hard starting issue.
I’d check in this order:
-clean/correctly oiled air filter
-Change In Line fuel filter
-WPS battery
-ECU remap From Twisted Development
-Check Fuel pump for kinked line?
-Leak down test

Mine started fine one day then went to shit the next. Wouldn’t charge or anything. Went with the wps and no issues.

I also have updated maps on my bikes that make it start super easy.
I've been using the WPS/FirePower battery for a year now, and it's always started on the first try and I've never had to use the cold start button. I suspect something is off with your bike, if it's still that difficult to start with that battery...a remap would probably do wonders for you.
Personally, I had Tokyo Mods do mine.
