Hi i recently bought a 2016 sxf 250, it runs perfect but everytime i ride it it seems to use water, the water level drops about half an inch everytime and drops just below the radiator fins inside. Is this normal or is there a problem? I cant see any leaks anywere either. Any help would be good

Sounds like it could be one of two problems as it is not normal.
1. Weak radiator cap. Replace with a new one.
2. Water pump seals are bad. The water would come out a hole under the case while running. This will require that the water pump be rebuilt with new seals bearing and maybe a new shaft.

How high do you run the coolant in the radiator when you refill it? Once it drops does it maintain that level if you don't refill?

+1 trying a new radiator cap.

I run the coolant just over the fins.

Check the radiators aren’t leaking anywhere.

Drain the oil and make sure it’s not getting inside the engine anywhere.
