Thinking about pulling the trigger on a used 2014 yz250f. Bike has about 80 hours, owner replaced top end (PM) according to him, no issues with it. Said he broke the kick start housing and replaced it of course. Biked started good, but felt a little warm when I first arrived so not sure if he already started it. No issues with swing arm or bearings that I detected. Bike was modified with 18 inch tire, skid plate, hand guards, ported and polished head, GET 2nd injector kit and a GET ecu with wifi connection to tune bike. I think I can get it for around 3,200. Good deal? What else should I be concerned about with this thing?

3200 is a good price. If you go back id try to start it cold. If they previously started it then it might mean hes trying to cover something. OR he just wanted to be sure it was good before you got there. Hard telling. If it ran fine with no leaks or excessive popping then go for it. Id still at least check the piston and all that if you buy it. I had a guy sell me a yz250 he said had a fresh motor bottom & top. It blew up within an hour of me owning it. Tore it down and it looked like it was 100% factory original from 2001.

Good deal for $3000-3200. See if he has paperwork or receipts for top end.
