2014 ktm 300sx Jetting

Good afternoon i just picked up a 2014 KTM 250sx with a 300 kit in it. The shop told me to run it at 50.1 and i got a bottle of Maxima K2. The bikes current set up has the stock 36 carb with a 165 main, 40 pilot, NECJ on the 3rd clip. When i got the bike home i noticed the stock pipe had a crack next to the right spring. I ordered a 300xc platinum 2 pipe with a r304 shorty. My question is this jetting going to be ok with the new pipe. I've only had about 30 mins on the bike so far, and it hits hard in the mid range a little spooge, but im at almost 4000' and it was about 90 outside. It also has the red power valve in it. I have to check where its set at still. Thank you for any help you can provide. I plan on getting a 38mm carb in the future, I am just getting lost in the jetting.

The 300 250 use the same jetting at 4,000 ft you have to be running really lean with that jetting , we race Snowshoe this year in West Virginia that was 5,000 ft and the bike ran like crap with the 42 pilot and a 170 Main same needle third position. Was way too lean

Good to know. Once I get the pipe in I guess I better do a plug test. I'm just trying to get in the ball park for when I get it next week and what jets I will need to pick up. The biggest I have is a 168. I have a 35,38 and a 42 pilot on hand. What size mains should I get shot I get all the sizes up to a 178?

I would just try and go up on size on the main from me and maybe move the needle up one click and start there , we're at Unadilla today that's 1500 ft we're running a 42 pilot with the 172 Main bike sounds good. We pretty much used to same Jetting all the way down to sea level.

just an update my son's girlfriend just went off her bike seemed a little lean on the bottom( at home we're about 400 ft above sea level) , i just turn the air screw in for her a little bit. She runs an XC my son runs a SX for some reason the XC likes Rich jetting. He just ripped up and down Pit Row a few times he said his bike feels good. I don't know if if it's the difference in ignitions but her bike always seems lean on the bottom.
