I have a crack in my tank. Can they be repaired? I am being told there is too much wax in this style tank to use a plastic bond on. Thanks for the help.

Man, that's a bummer! I'm going to keep an eye on mine. I saw partzilla has a new one for $231.44

Almost ant type of bonding agent will break down due to the petroleum base of both the fuel and the product.
Other than a new or used tank, the only other possible way to fix it would be by plastic welding it, but it does not come in Blue and it also cost. You can do an internet search for plastic welding to see your options and the cost.

I had exactly the same happen on a 250F 2014 model seems like they are weak there. I tried to melt the plastic over the crack, but it just bursts open again. (pressure from gripping with knees.). I had to buy a replacement one.

Whats with yamaha tanks...maybe its just me but Ive seen a long history of cracked yz tanks going back to the 80's. My 03 yz250 tank cracked in the channel where the shroud meets the tank. I replaced it with an acerbis.
