Hi,

I'm rebuilding the engine from my 2012 KX250F and can not find anywhere what the C-ratings for the crankshaft bearings should be.

Anybody know what clearance should be used? C2, C, C3 or C4?

I can get a hold of any bearing (cheap also) and do'n want to pay too much for aftermarket or OEM :-)

Please let me know if you have any info/insight.

Thanks!

Best regards,
Wouter

Unless its stamped on the old bearings you probably wont find out. All that is calculated by the engineers. All that rating is is a load rating.

Whatever you fo don’t go too tight. I tried that thinking the tighter tolerances meant better bearing on one of our 85’s snd it started seizing within a few hours. Lesson learned. Most crank bearings seem to call for a C3 rating IIRC...
