Hi guys!
Spoke slightly about this before and I’ve looked on lots of threads on here but can’t seem to get a clear answer.
Basically I’ve been offered a set of SSS Forks from a 2009 YZF250.
My question is, will these bolt up to my bike ( 2004 YZ250 ) without any modification?
The reason I ask is because I’ve been told that they will bolt right on my bike with no modification as it’s the 2004 model, is this correct or am I dreaming?
Cheers smile

Yes, they will mount right up. I have a chart from numroe on my phone that I saved. You will need a newer front wheel/axle though!

If I remember the front wheel axle is the same. Its the rear that s different. Will need new spacers

The forks will fit. I have the same set on my 04 YZ250. I even have a 09 YZ250f rear shock that was set up for the bike.

The only thing I haven’t done is stepped and installed the newer YZ450F swingarm and linkage. That’s another project in the future

Ah right ok, sounds good man. Did you have to change or modify anything to get them to fit perfect? Just wheel spacers? Or front axle too? And how did you go about routing the brake line? ...sorry for all the questions just trying to make sure I get it all correct haha

I used the stock triple clamps and front wheel assy.

I am using the 09 fork guards and a after market brake clamp. If needed I can get you some pictures. Its pretty easy though.

Legitly a bolt straight up.. easy peasy.. we have done it on a couple bike.. but we also used the whole front end... also the swing arm/ shock can be swapped as well if you can get ahold of that

If you could get me some pictures that would be great, just so I can see how it all bolts up etc smile

All these positive comments are giving me hope of an easy fitment haha. I was pretty sure that the forks would fit the clamps ok, just wasn’t sure about the disc being out of line with the caliper and needing spacers etc
