I'm trying to get a new "connector, 2nd muffler" for the 05 RM125. The most inexpensive option i can find is $60, while the same part for an 05 RM250 is $30.
Could the RM250's version work just fine? Could be a dumb question, but I couldn't find anything on it.
Thanks ahead of time.

125 and 250 exhaust are different diameter, so no, I dont think so. But if you are talking about the rubber piece that fits over and between the end of the pipe and the silencer, you can just seal it up with a bead of red silicone and slide the silencer on. Just make sure you let it dry before you run the bike.

You can also use a silicone reducer hose off ebay

I think its 28 to 32 mm but probably check measurements

Or find a radiator/heater hose that will fit both ends. Hell of a lot cheaper!!
The price of those things makes me nuts, as well. $60.00? No, just no.

When i rebuilt an 04 rm 125 a few years back i used one off a 05 kx125 because it was alot cheaper. It worked just fine.

One from a YZ125 will work also. I think they are about $25.

Mr. Robinson, I'm guessing 05 yz125? I have no idea suzuki's oem parts are so ridiculously expensive, especially when compared to other oem's I've had to buy parts for.

I don't suppose you did a build thread, did you? I'd love to see pictures of the project!

How was the fit for the one off the kx?

Looks great!
Did you have to apply any silicone, or other sealant?

Nope, just slid it on.

The Yamaha 4JY-14615-00-00 pipe joint has been in service for about 30 years. Like KX unit mentioned above it should work just fine.

I have used one from a CR125. $14

I always remove that piece. It doesn't really seal the pipe and silencer, but it does provide a nice area for spooge to build up. Just run some red silicone, as mentioned above.
