Hey guys, I have an 04 Honda cr125 with FMF Fatty and shorty, Vforce Reid’s. I had a 420 main with a 32.5 pilot, clip on 3rd position, air screw 2 turns out running 32:1 with A BR9EG. Was fouling plugs every 20 minutes. So I put a BR8ES in and ran 40:1 and seemed to fix the fouling problem but the bike still seemed to idle high. I contacted Fmf and they said to run a 400 main with stock pilot (40) and clip 3rd position. I haven’t fouled any plugs but it still doesn’t feel right. Doesn’t idle high but the header seemed to get pretty warm after I ran it just around the block. Is that normal ? Anyone have an idea of what I can do to get this thing running “normal” ? I don’t really know what direction to go as I am not too familiar 2 strokes.

400 main and 40 pilot should be your best bet with what you have, it's what we have on our jetting sheet for that bike at my work. The pipe is gonna get hot. If the bike runs good throughout the powerband you're golden, just make sure your air screw is set correct and also idle screw.

Awesome thanks man, I really appreciate it. Would you reccomend going back to the BR9EG OR STICK WITH THE BR8ES

Hi I have the same cr 125 04 with wmf fatty and shorty + Vforce Reids. bike runs really rough, I'm gonna get JD gasket replacements for the Mikuni tmx 38 as they are meant to be faulty.
Did you try these jets?
thanks

This guy knows what he’s talking about. Get the JD Jetting “jet block gasket.” My ‘04 CR125 ran best with a 420 main jet. Pinged on top with a 400
