Hello all,

I have a 2003 kx125 with a large chunk missing out of one of the crankcases. Question....

If I purchase a half of a case off ebay, do you foresee any issues? I have heard that with the more modern Japanese bikes, nonmatched cases are not an issue.

I believe kawasakis require a matched set.

Are/were all brands like that? What about them required them to be matched?
(Cuz I was thinking about just getting another case half for my '95 YZ250 instead of repairing it.)

Had about five old 78-79 YZ250 engines. Some were rough. I stripped them, used the best of them to net two good engines. I am sure there were some mixed cases when the runners made noise. If the parts fiche list the cases available separately, buy the half needed, and be done with it.
