1999 KX 250 REAR MASTER BRAKE CYLINDER

Good afternoon all,
the rear master cylinder on my KX is shot and I was wondering how hard it is to rebuild? I see they sell a rebuild kit but I have never tried to do this before. Anyone ever buy/use one of the new cheap ones on eBay? Should I just get a oem new or used?
thanks in advance....

Theyre really easy. You remove a snap ring under the little rubber boot and the entire inner assembly comes out. Theres like 5 or 6 parts.

Id go with a kit from rocky mountain. Dont order “cheap” ebay parts. These are your brakes youre trying to fix.

Thanks, yeah I think that's the route I'm going, just never messed with rebuilding one and didn't know how much of a pain it is to do.

Its not a pain, really. Cameron niemela has some vids on youtube on that very thing. Pretty much all the brakes are the same. Id reccomend a little hook to help with the seals. Theyre really tight when you try to put them on.
