1999 KTM 380 SX Forks. Can I put newer inverted forks on it?

I have an amazing 1999 KTM 380 SX. I picked it up for 1000 dollars 10 hours after he put it up for sale. Mint bike. Rarely used and was owned by an old person. It sat for about 3 years and I got everything going but my forks are to old for my local fork builder to work with. Could I put 250 sx forks or 300 sx forks from 2009 on it? Thanks for all the help.

The 1999 steering head bearings, top cover, top seal and lower cover / seal are the same part numbers right through to 18, and I suspect they are the same for 19s.

Steering stops - I don't think the 99s used the 2 bolts as a steer stop, but it would not be hard to make it take that set up - it's just an internally threaded piece of tubing welded on the frame. Can't get much more basic than that.

Not sure about the respective lengths of the frame steering head / triple clamp steer tube, but heck, I was able to fit a WP CC 48mm front end onto a Honda, whilst still using the Honda front wheel........There's not much that can't be done, if you put your mind to it.

Aren't they the wp magnums?
WP Extreme fork...50mm. Marzocchi had the Magnum name. Should be an easy switch, shame parts are hard to come by for the Extreme fork, excellent unit, albeit heavy.

I bought a 99 380 , 3 years ago to put away in the garage , as I owned a new 98 380.
It has USD forks fitted on it looks like, complete with triple clamps is an easy swap.
