hey guys I just wanted to say hello and share this project with you. I bought this awhile ago when my son out grew his KTM 65. It was a complete running bike but the right side crank bearing was floating around in the case so I tore it down and was looking for a fix. It got put on the back burner and the bike sat in the shed for a few years. My buddy found new engine casings so I started the restoration project.
All new bearing and seals were installed as well as the crank rod. The frame was sandblasted and is in getting powder coated. The clutch basket had a tooth chipped out of the gear so I haven’t put the clutch side on yet. The cylinder and piston are in great shape but I need to clean them up and paint them first. Here’s a few pic’s of the project so far.
