1978 cr250 foot brackets and shifter

does anyone know what shifter can be used instead of the original. Back when new we changed them out for one that was an inch longer off of a street bike, I can't remember which one. Also where can I find foot peg mounts, mine have been changed to ones that are an inch higher and I don't like them. Thank you
