This is the 3rd oil change that has been done to the bike and it seems like there is a lot of shavings on the magnet, does this seem like a possible issue? I know new bikes usually have some crap but this seems extensive. It'd hard to tell from pic but the filter has some on it too. I just don't remember our 250f having thus much

That is more than my 450 drain plug ever had on it....I would remove all screens & drain plugs, clean, run new oil through it & change it again to see what comes out. Send that drain plug photo to your dealer and ask their opinion, at least it will document your findings.

Ive never had a brand new bike, but ive had brand new rebuilt motors, and have never ever seen anything like that. Most ive seen is really fine glitter in my oil - and thats normal for any oil change. That looks like chips from a drill lol

It looks like shavings from a tap when they threaded a hole, seems like a lot that wouldve been left behind but I'll definitely be keeping an eye on it

We have done 4 oil changes on ours and have not seen anything like that!
