My 18' 450 has a very twitchy loose feeling throttle. I have tried adjusting play with no good results. It seems like it needs more tension on the pull. It feels more mechanical not map related. Any ideas for a fix? Thanks

My 17 had a lot of excess play In the throttle cable straight from the dealer. I wouldn't say it made it "twitchy" but it does make it feel uncomfortable if you're used to riding a bike with the correct amount of free play.

I was able to adjust the slack by the small adjuster by the front number plate. About a 1/8" of free play is what I like. Also make sure they didn't ram the throttle tube into the end of the handle bar where it could possibly hang up.

I as well think the pull is too easy. People told me I was crazy. A good breeze seems to twist the throttle. Between the easy pull, throttle response and the mapping, first gear in the pits is a herky jerky ride at best. Don't notice it so much on the track though. I would still like a stiffer pull, not much but just a bit more tension would be good for me.
