So last weekend in Oakland my bike died on the line for practice and I completely lost spark.
I am following the manual and a Rocky Mountain YouTube video for reference. I have tested the kill switch, the coil, and the spark plug cap which all came out good.
The red flag I noticed when I tested the stator is (2. In the manual) the “charging coil 1 resistance”
The book says it should be 720.0 - 1,080.0 ohms
My test said only 7.2 ohms.
The part throwing me off is Rocky Mountain’s video result brought them kiloohms and mine did not. It should do it automatically like my coil and cap did.
Did I find the culprit?
Here is a photo of the multimeter I’m using and a link to the video I used for reference.
