Definitely will not work for the 03's as they used the old style "dog bone" linkage.

I believe the four stroke shocks are longer....but I could be way wrong.

I was going to use an 09 shock but aborted, it's longer and if you wanted to shorten the stroke you'd lose 1" of wheel travel.
