I just picked up a nice 09 kx250f it has pro circuit muffler but Id like to put a FMF mega bomb or power bomb on it was wondering if they help too end at all plus i found someone that has a 08 FMF mega bomb that has very little use would the 08 fit the 09. Thanks.

The mega bomb header will give you a little more bottom end hit whereas the power bomb will add a little to the top end. It's not very noticable but there will be some gains. It's carbureted, so you might need to adjust the jetting to match. I am pretty sure there were some changes between '08 and '09 as the '09-'11 was a different generation, so I'm not sure if it will fit. '11 was essentially the same bike as the '09 with fuel injection being introduced. The stock header is two different part numbers if that's any indication.

In short, there really won't be much difference in the PC vs FMF header, but if you want the logo and want to spend the money, make the switch. Just not 100% sure that '08 pipe is going to fit.
