Does anyone know if an 06 cr250 engine will fit in the 03 frame without too much modification?

Any help would be much appreciated ๐Ÿ™Œ

I don't 'know' it for sure, but the last gen CR250 (2002-2007) didn't go through any kind of changes that would make one think that an engine from any of these model years wouldn't fit in any of the other model years.

Honda certainly made changes from year to year, but I'm pretty sure those did not include engine case mounts or frame mounting points.

The exhaust flange on the cylinder changed for sure, but not sure how much of a challenge that would be as long as you used the '06 exhaust.

like he said, bolts right in, the pipe is different where it mates to cylinder, rest is the same.

The exhaust flange unbolts and can be swapped from cylinder to cylinder.

FYI - The 02-04 cyl's. have an exhaust flange. The 05-07 cyl's do not.
