i need to replace my rear rim on a 2003 cr250r, rim and spoke packages seem scarse for the 2003 but everyone has them for the 2005. everything i google shows a 05 rear wheel will fit a 2003. but looking up part numbers and the 03 and 05 have the same rim part number but different numbers for spokes and hubs. any on now why they are different?

The 05 CR250r hub is lighter & stronger so it will be an upgrade. In 05 Honda redesigned the rear CR hub from the prior 02-04 models.
The wheels interchange from 02-07.

Yes, It should. Have you looked up the oem part #’s of the spokes & wheels to compare ?
I wouldn’t trust RM’s website as I’ve seen inconsistencies through the yrs. on parts that can interchange.

Just checked with one of my Honda sources & the rear rim is the same part # 42701-MEN-A11. The inside & outside spokes do have different part #'s though. My guess is the 05 + spokes have been beefed up as well.

yes, it shows different part numbers on the hub and spokes between 2003 and 2005 but the rim is the same part number
