‘02 Suzuki RM250 rear shock help???!

Hey everyone I’m about to freshen up my rear shock and inspect everything while it’s apart. I’m wondering what everyone recommends and is running as far as rear shock oil (weight and level) and nitrogen level. Please don’t say look at the manual as I’d like to hear and go by first hand knowledge. My manual says 380ml shock oil and 139.5 PSI nitrogen.
ALSO!! I could REALLY use some Race & static Sag numbers you’ve found success with. (Manual is 95-105mm race sag)
I’m roughly 220lbs with gear. 6’2 and a moderate B class rider. Thanks everyone in advanced!

you don't set the shock oil level. The number they give is how much you need to use. If you change the weight of the shock oil, it'll change the damping characteristics, so best to stay with stock. Regarding nitrogen pressure,,,go with stock. too little and the shock will fade really easily...too much pressure and you risk blowing shock seals. Better freshen up the shock in stock form, and get the correct springs for your weight.

Honda SS 25 shock oil and 140 psi. Sag at 100mm At 220 you probably need stiffer than stock springs.

Race Tech has a very nice tool for answering exactly this question. Input your rider height, weight, style, and skill level and it gives you an approximated value of what you should start with. I've attached a link and the specs given based on your info;

http://racetech.com/ProductSearch/12/Suzuki/RM250/2002

Sag - 103mm
Spring Rate - 5.8 kg/mm
Pressure - 165 PSI
Oil - US1 (aka 5w)
