wiseco piston installation

I am about to put the piston into our 1988 project bike. The installation instructions disappeared off the bench. The piston has an arrow on the crown, does the arrow point forwards towards the exhaust port or backwards towards the intake port? The piston seems to be almost identical in form, there does not seem to be anything that would distinguish the front from the back of the piston.

It only goes one way. The arrow goes toward the exhaust, the front.

with Wiseco you will need to pull the reed valve out to keep the rings from snagging the port.

Thanks for the replies guys. Top end is on and motor is back in the frame. Hoping the boy does not have too much homework so we can button this thing up and fire it up tonight. Really wish I had taken some before pics.
