Hey guys, ive just found a crack in my rear hub when i was changing tires. Im just wondering if anyone has had a similar situation and if it is repairable. Cheers

As far as I know, cast hubs shouldn't be welded, but in your case it may be okay to weld on a billet hub. If you can weld it, you will need to get the anodizing removed. It will probably be difficult to match up the new anodizing with the old.

If you can't get it fixed, it most definitely needs to be replaced. Maybe contact Talon and see what they have to say.

Welding is not an option. Time for a new hub. Welding will degrade the epoxy used to for the carbon. Plus, the heat will melt the silica used to seperate the carbon from the aluminum making it brittle and useless.

One hub is the. Price. Of trip to the ER , or co payment, easy decision

Call the guys who made it.

I would think they would want to take care of that for you.
