Just wondering if any one had any input on a clutch lever set up on my sons kx 85 he has pretty small hands yet and would like something adjustable and any tips on cables or anything that would make for a lighter pull

The stock lever and perch for a KX60, it's a longer lever with a special bend.

I would make sure you have a new cable and well lubricated at first. My son ran Suzuki 85's, and I put EVS levers on them. They are adjustable and don't wear out and create that slop in the motion, and they don't break. It made a world of difference. He still runs them today. It's around a hundred bucks for the perch and lever assembly, so it is expensive. But their customer service is great. We ran them on his 250 for 3 years and started to get some slop in the clutch side, and they sent me new bearings and a new adjuster free. But my son doesn't use the clutch much. At the start to get going, then he just slams the gears with no clutch. It's mostly for in the corners. That brings me to this solution that's free. Adjust it so that there is a lot of free play at the lever. This way it is much easier to pull, and he doesn't need to fully disengage the clutch to shift. Actually you don't even need it for shifting, but you do in the corners. Make a few adjustments and try it. I'm sure you can make it better without spending anything.

If you want to dump money into the bike you can go with asv levers or even a rukluse. But like motodad said, make sure you cable is lubricated and make sure it is adjusted right, The longer the lever the easier it is to pull in,

sunline levers are simply awesome and feel great its a straighter lever making a easy pull and the quick adjust and the whole perch is great......just my opinion though
