For anyone looking to powder coat and trying to match the Yamaha Blue (deep purplish blue), I recently found that the Bentley Blue is a great color of choice! It's a two step with a chrome base so it's a bit more expensive, but I was really surprised by the results!

Figured I'd share for fellow steel frame YZ owners!

I look like a poor person working on cardboard...time for a mat!

Couldn't pass up these Pro Circuit Clamps for the YZ on eBay for less than $80 for both! I've really never seen any for the 46mm KYBs that fit Yamaha's for sale...

The below instagram video is what solidified my decision. So good.

Top coats are transparent colors. The color of the substrate under a top coat will affect the finished appearance. To simulate these colors, a silver metallic or "chrome like" base coat must be used. For the brightest finish use USS 4482 Super Chrome as a base coat.

FYI crf 150 and Kx 125-up PC bar mounts are all the same width. They will work on your Yz.Bike is looking great.

That's good to know! I ended up just buying some Renthal ones after going off their measurements on the D-Bolt.

Screw that! I'm riding it! Smile

In all seriousness, I love having a clean bike...it's a problem.

This guy isn't joking. I've never seen more effort put in! He gives the factory treatment, needs to open a restoration shop!
