The ugliest 2012 KTM SX 125 restoration project

Edited Date/Time 2/18/2016 8:12pm
I picked up this poor baby last week. It desperately screams for some love. While it's been maintained very well technically, the previous owner couldn't have cared less about how his bike looked. It is so ugly, it's almost funny. I'm planning on doing a super-budget restoration of it, as I wasn't originally planning on getting a second bike. It was just too cheap to pass on.

You'll love it, I have a 2012 150.
First year with the linkage, edit 2013 has the cc forks as well.

So what's the plans?

No special plans, just get it running nicely and looking decent again Smile

Are you putting the 2013-2015 plastics on it? I'm sure it will look nice after some new parts and some cleaning!

Do those years bolt right up to the 2012's? My son has this same bike and I was wondering if that'd work or not? I do know the new style front fender needs an adaptor, but how about the radiator shrouds?

Bolts right up if you get the airbox covers and remove a tiny bit of plastic from the cage that holds the cdi

She's finally looking half decent again, still some work to do though

The original bars were bent, and we had some black Reikon TM bars in the shop wich look quite nice

Viagra sticker on the sweet Tm in the background?
What a sponsorship opportunity that is.

From my SX 250, but you can order them through KTM still.

Why would anyone do that to a bike? Huh

She's looking much better now, what pipe will you run?

A wheelset, clutch cover, and a factory fatty would complete the bike! killer look man, love the stockers!
