hey all. I have a question. I am parting out a 2008 yz 450. Wondering if the front forks will fit/work with my 2003 yz 250 . Hoping I can just slip them in the triple clamps and go . Anyone ?

Pretty sure you'll be ok, just swap out the entire front end if you ave to, forks, triple clamps, front wheel, axle, brake setup... Give it a go lad and find out, if you have both bikes already won't take long to see if it works, those forks would be better than the old 03's post results.

better yet do an AF conversion???

I believe you have to swap the clamps with 04 models. They went to bigger tube diameter in 04.

If you go with 05+ clamps from the aluminum frame, you get into issues with the stops being different from the steel to aluminum frame.

A friend of mine is going through this on an 02 and also had to change the stem, but the stem from 03-04 should be the same.
