I was in a first turn pileup yesterday and wrecked two spokes, they aluminum nipples pulled out of the rim and the spokes bent up like pretzels. I don't have the spare parts yet, and I've never had to repair this before. How is it done? Does the wheel have to be completely relaced? The rim has quite the bend in it now but I'm hoping with those two spokes/nipples being replaced it will pull straight.

If the nipple pulled right through the rim it might be hard to find something that will stay in there now.

I don't have much rim building knowlage. Hopefully someone can help you.

The nipples broke off, there doesn't appear to be any damage to the rim but I haven't taken the tire off to look further yet.

Remove the tire and the rubber band. Then remove the bad spokes and nipples. Then put in the correct spokes besure to follow the spoke pattern. Then reinstall the nipples, the band, the tire and inflate. Then remount the wheel on the bike and see if you can true it up as it will be out of tolerance to run out.
There are some good youtube videos about truing the wheels.

if the rim is super bent you aint going to fix it even tho i told you that u are going to try, knock yourself out, when aluminum bends it usually dont bend back without cracking, you can replace the spokes as stated above do them one at a time its easy and you can ride with a rim more bent than you think

Haha yes, I will try. It doesn't have to be straight as an arrow, but if I can get it close I'll be happy. Thank you for the info everyone.
