My ktm 250 exc 2t from 12' is having problems when I try to shift from 2nd to 3rd. Bike will shift any gear in any circunstances but from 2 to 3, even with the cluth fully pressed, it wont shift until I let the RPM's fall. So I have been doing some research in the internet I it seems like thisi is my problem:
now my question is. I have never split the cases. I am good at working in my bikes, but I never had to open any cases (furthest I went was removing completelly the clutch), so I want to know is if I can remove the part that I need to repair (the one shown in the video, I think it is calle shift drum in english??) Without opening the cases. Does it just slides out? If I need to split the cases I will take it to the shop I do not have the time to open them during the week, and I have a race in two weeks, I dont want to waste the next weekend working in the bike instead of training.
Thanks

anyways thanks
So which are you needing to remove?
The Shop
Pull the clutch out...Remove the shifter lever...Pull the shift arm out.
