How effective will a Rekluse clutch be on a 250SX 2 stroke?

I absolutely hate my clutch. With it fully pulled in, the bike still wants to move forward a bit, which is also causing it to stall in muddy track conditions when you hit the brakes a little too hard (well even on the street it stalls when you come to a complete stop, that's with the clutch pulled in). I've heard at my local KTM shop that it is a common issue.

I'm really thinking about a Rekluse clutch so I was wondering how you guys like it?

I have no experience with the rekluse, but I can say a flywheel weight helps with the stalling issues. I recently put one on my 250sx and cannot believe how much more rideable the power is. Also, the bike really never wants to stall. Just my 2cents

Same problem ear. In my case the inner clutch hub is notched out.

You will love the Rekluse, but first try this. Use Shell Rotella T6 5w40 in your trans to see if that will stop the clutch creap. It did on my Husqvarna.

Effective and addictive. Get it and never look back.

I will say, however, if you are stalling or dragging.......there is something going on with the clutch. It either needs bled, adjusted, or replaced.

I suggest fixing your stock clutch first. Back bleed it. Still not disengaging, then check the push rod length. Still not disenganging, check the hubs for notches.
Good luck!

Thanks for the tips! I have the problem for over a year now and bleeded it several times. I think my clutch lever is too close to the handlebar because it first occurred when I installed handguards and adjusted it closer to my handlebar..

The problem is over when I adjust my lever further away from the bar but I will get cramps in my hand after 15 mins if it's adjusted like that. I now put in different oil in the trans so maybe that will fix it. We also checked the whole clutch at the shop and they said nothing was wrong with the clutch.

Get one!!! I only installed the disc and not the full 'core' setup. Clutch pull is slightly heavier but not much more than a cable operated clutch. I've never stalled or worried about stalling it during a race and it seems to hook up slightly better. Worth its weight in gold if you ever do the odd enduro/extreme event.
