I have the ride engineering rubber mount triples with the Honda Showa steering damper setup and pro taper evo bars, seems to be doing the trick for me. 15 yz250f

Renthal RC bend fat bars. I love them, know many others that do also. Nothing special nor fancy but I keep several sets handy in my shop for people and always have to get more. Don't hold on tighter then you need and loosen your grip over some jumps to try and relax. Every one is different.

I've never bent a set of pro taper evo bars and I'm pretty good at crashing. I have a set on my Rmz and they seem really nice. After a few good falls they start to show some abuse but have yet to bend a set. I have yet to try the odi's but they look really good and I've heard nothing but good about them. If your having trouble with arm pump try squeezing more with your knees and don't run the pro taper pillow top grips. They are known to give people pretty bad arm pump.

Pro taper EVO's or Renthal Fat bar, Twin walls are the strongest but have almost no vibration absorption. If you have a 2016 YZ250F it should have already come with over size bars and mounts? Yamaha started fitting its own brand oversize bar in 2013 and had been using Pro taper since 06.

Appreciate the replies. I had a hunch the stock bars were oversized but was unsure at the time I posted this. Unfortunately just seen the comment about the twinwalls and already ordered the twinwalls earlier this week. If I don't like them, I got a pitbike I can throw them on and go with the fatbar.

Dont stress I have a set of twin walls on my rm project, they are easily the strongest and best looking bar you can buy.

I have a fooled around with a bunch of bars recently. twinwalls, renthal fat bars, pro taper contours and evos. The twinwalls are stiffer than the rest. I personally can not tell much of a difference between the others. I have bent both contours and fatbars. Haven't bent the twinwalls or evos, but I haven't had any massive diggers with those yet. If you want forgiveness, go without the crosswall. If you want more stiffness ho twinwall.

To achieve the same objective as you (less vibration, less arm pump, more forgiving ride - especially on square edges), I run the following variety of setups on my various bikes:

(1) FasstCo Flexxbars on 2 bikes - they really are like a fork revalve!

(2) Neken SFS clamps on 1 bike - awesome add, can't notice they are there - until you take them off …

(3) XC Gear "MAKO 360" on 1 bike - new add for me, preliminary results are good (only 2.5 hours on them, can feel them move/clunk when I pull on the bars to lift the front wheel)

(4) All bikes have a Scotts or GPR V1 steering damper (3 Scotts, 1 GPR - I think GPR is my favorite, especially on 2-strokes). I've been running dampers since 1998. Will never go back - I consider them a safety item at this point. They allow you to relax sooo much more than without. Riding without a damper now feels like riding without a helmet: scary.

(5) All bikes have full diamond Renthal grips in either medium or hard compound. I prefer hard compound because I seem to squeeze less tightly since I get a good grip given its hardness/tackiness without extra pressure - and they hold up far better in crashes.

SUMMARY:
Guess what? #5 is one of the biggest improvements! Minimizing the diameter of the bar you're holding onto is HUGELY HELPFUL for arm pump. Ever tried doing pull-ups on a large diameter pipe versus something more like a 7/8" handlebar sized pipe? HUGE DIFFERENCE. Start there!

As for the other setups, they are all excellent in different ways, with #2 being least noticeable and #3 is probably growing on me and may become the best for me overall (holds up good in crashes, too - which I didn't expect).

Sorry for the novel ...

I’m having a problem with my throttle hand becoming numb, don’t know if its carpel or just the vibration. Think about purchasing Fasst bars but they are pricey

I think XC Gear's "MAKO 360" is exactly what you're looking for in this case.

x2 on the Pro Taper Evo. Had always been a Renthal 997 guy and decided to run a set this past summer and was very happy. I am 5'10" and the low bend of the SX Evo feels great for me. I didn't put any super hard wrecks on them but so far so good with no bending issues.
