my plan is to build a nice factory looking RM like my RMZ 250 with lots of nice parts and colors
Here was my bike
thank you for your comment . Nice bike with such a nice Number .. i ride also the #15 :D
tomorrow the Frame and Footpegs go to the sand blaster
to be continued
The Shop
a little update .. this black plastic parts are from the 2015 rmz 250 and fits on the RM . and the chain guide is from my old RMZ
i like the black plastic parts
That's cool rear caliper guard and rear disc guard are the same. Black plastic almost looks like carbon fiber for fraction of the price
today i got my frame back from powder coating
now i am waiting for the Clamps , Fork and Spokes .
to be continued ..
is started to assembling the bike .
Put the Fork together ( also swingarm and linkage )
Put it in the Bike and cut the rear numberplates .. but it was a little bit too much .. luckily i have some new white plates
But i think its a nice looking bike
some parts are still missing like the front brake cover , Boyesen Clutch and Ignition Cover, new Grips and of course the Decal .. the front fork guards will be black and the rear number plates white
looks like the Showa A kit :D
Pit Row
of course in the factory look with white Back Numberplates , Black Back Fender and Black fork guards :D
do you like ?
next week my decal will arrive
the new factory RM Decal is reday .. next week on the bike
Big thanks to Decallab ! www.decallab.eu
i have a Problem with my front brake . I use the MotoMaster Disc , RSi Pads , Motul RBF 660 and Steel Hose
but my front brake is almost spongy and weak :/
i found some dudes that use Honda CRF Master Cylinder and Brake Caliper . do you know something about that ?
with best regards
Vincent #15
Also, you could buy a ride engineering billit front brake caliper. Bigger caliper pistons for improved braking power and modulation. On their site it says it only fits rmz models, however it fill fit on rm 2 strokes. I think it's just because they haven't tried to fit in on an rm 2 stroke.
2001 -2007 rm 125 and 2001 - 2008 rm 250 use the identical oem caliper adaptor bracket part # as 2007-2017 rmz 250 and 2005 - 2017 rmz 450. Also rm 2 strokes have an 11 mm front master cylnder piston. Which is another requirement to run the caliper.
I'm sure both of these units will solve your braking issues.
(This is based on the assumption that your correctly bled your brakes and the caliper pistons don't need to be rebuilt)
Good luck!
The rims are standart Excel yellow ... the fork is acid Yellow anodised , looks similar to the Showa A Kit :D
Now i found a fresh rebuild Caliper and a Honda 2010 Master cylinder
I hope this improves my brake :/
Can order it on black Friday for a 25% discount
