Mount a 2005 rm 125 rear brake caliper on a 2004 rm 125?

Hello

Does anyone know if it's possible to mount a 2005 rm 125 rear caliper on a 2004 rm 125? My rear brake caliper is damaged and I need to replace it. In 2005 suzuki updated the caliper with a lighter design that offers more stopping power. Hence if possible I'd like to mount a 05 caliper instead of buying another 04 caliper.

Any help is greatly appreciated
Thanks

It looks like the mounting bracket is the same so as long as the hose routes the same, you should be fine.

So you just buy the 06 caliper and use the 04 mounting plate? This is awesome. Thanks for the replies guys

I bought the complete rear brake system off ebay from an 06 and put it on.

Okay because there is the caliper itself and then the mounting bracket that caliper mounts too and fits onto the swing arm. You replaced your mounting bracket as well when you bought the complete systems and was it the same as the 04 mounting bracket?

Notice much of an improvement switching to the updated rear caliper design?

Thanks for the help

The bike was kind of a basket case when I got it, I never rode it with the 04 stuff. The 06 mounting bracket slid right onto the swingarm.
