KX65 footpeg springs

Bought a bike off Ebay but it did not have any springs in footpegs. So far have spent ages trying springs round different ways but still cannot get them to connect.

In need of a pic of how they go in, have seen a fiche but that does not help me to find out what I am doing wrong.

I am using the correct side spring on each side.
