I have suspension that I was told was a true Showa B kit that I have been running on my 06 CRF450R. The number stamped on the forks is 005 and I was wondering if there's any way to find out where they originally came from. Any help is appreciated.

True b kit stuff has machined billet valves, sometimes changed to bigger dampening rods, the shock body will be sand cast and kashima coated and also have a billet machines piston. There is a difference in tru B kit and just stock coated. Factory connection and showa offered a B kit along with kyb offered tru B kit stuff.

I will have to look at those parts next time I have them apart. Last time I put seals and bushings in I was going to swap upper and lower fork tubes with some that were just redone but they are both a little longer than stock. That's part of why I'm trying to find out more about them

Those are more than likely real ones. With the red caps. Should have red rebound nuts to on the bottom.
