Does anyone have experience with powder coating companies and how much I should pay to get my 05 RM 250 frame powder coated

I have been throwing around the idea of powder coating my frame. Shop down the street quoted me 300 dollars but I have no experience and need some tips and sugestions on price and procedure

A shop out west charges 450 for quads and that includes sandblasting (I ride 2 wheelsSmile )

Check and see if $300 includes frame prep with sandblasting.

My thought is $300 is fair if is prepped properly.

Got mine done for 50euros, including sandblasting and anit-rust coat. Useually costs about 100-150.

I paid 120 for my frame and that included blasting.

Steel framed YZ125. Came out really good.

What do you guys do about the VIN engraving/stamp? Last from I had done (87 RM250) the powder coat filled in the VIN so much that I had to use a grinder to get it to show up again.

I paid $80 to do mine in 2010 & have done 3 RM250 & 1 KXF450 frames since mine & it was still a $80 so $300 to me sounds very VERY steep.
