So I installed s new piston with gaskets when I was installing cam I realized the cam chain guide was installed wrong. I had the head torqued so I had to undo everything flip chain guide around sndvre torque the head. My question is is the head gasket still good.?? I did not run the bike so no heat cycle. Or once its torqued it's junk?? Would you run it

I have done the same thing before. I used the same gasket and had no problem with it. The bike was a 2014 Honda 450

You'll be fine if the gasket hasn't been ran through a heat cycle. I've done something similar. Result was okay. I installed the cam chain wear guide upside down. Bummer to say the least. Head gasket now has 5+ hours on it with zero issues. Live and learn.

Side note: I thought the same question you had when I did it. You'll be fine. I felt like a dumbass. Ha! 2008 CRF250R. Good luck and enjoy your fresh rebuild.
