Ordered 2 seals for my 2000 cr125 build bike. I'm putting a new clutch in it so I thought I'd check the seal. I have the seals but I'm wondering if the "put 3 screws in it and pull" method is really effective or not. I don't want to jimmy it up. What do you guys think? Will it come out with the 3 screws method?

Just pull that collar off and you can stick a flat blade under the lip and pop it out.

I got in there a little further and it had oil inside the lip. I yanked that sucker. It had to be letting oil into the crankcase. Thanks guys!

I always say "Do it while you are there, then you don't have to go back".

Seal that ignition cover with some RTV ,Yamabond ,or something. Pretty crusty in there.

Yep did. I think it was from the rubber grommet from the ignition wire. Crusty was a nice word for it. It was bad in there.
