So I just thought I'd share some pictures of my bike I've built over the last couple years and I am continually changing and adding different things so the project is never really done. I started with a completely stock, ugly CR and was shooting for more of a bling build than anything really. Unfortunately I did not do a very good job documenting the build at all so bear with me.

So this is how the bike started

Photo

Stripped it down and cleaned away

Photo

Add some parts here and there over time, like lectron carb, new pipe, chain, steel braided lines, radiators, blue hoses, pegs, hammerhead shift and brake levers, boyesen covers

Photo

I picked up some used Excels with talon hubs, pc clamps, and got a set of nitride coated lowers on ebay and found a ohlins shock on craigslist, thought I was done but found I was not ever close...

Photo

I started a 07 cr 125 built right after this and it motivated me to redo and change my 250 so I stripped it back down and powder coated the frame and swingarm black

Photo

Photo

Photo

Photo

From here I decided to go with a custom graphics kit and seat cover through Magik to match my 125 I had built

Photo

Then over time I have changed and added parts such as raptor pegs, braking rear caliper, new graphics, new pipe and silencer, A kit suspension from 12' TLD honda, misc. Ti bolts, new wheels and hubs, hinson clutch and cover.

These are pictures from today and where the bike is at now, going to have someone make some backgrounds that match the graphics, continue to add Ti bolts, going to get some CF fork guards and maybe if I feel like spending big money a CF gas tank

I didn't think Pro Circuit made the CF silencer for the CR's?

Is it a one off by PC or a modified YZ/KTM silencer?
I'd love one for my RM

Really nice build! What modification did you do to the rear shock to make it fit?

They now make the Ti-2 for CRs, I just looked and unfortunately they only make them for like the RM65s for some reason

HenryA- the rear shock is off a 12 crf 450 so the length is perfect, just had to shave a tiny bit off the corner of the upper shock mount (frame) so that the oversized body clears, also cut back the shroud plastic so it doesn't cover the adjuster

There wasn't a whole lot done to my 125, put a full set of coated Showa suspension on it, motor was stock besides full Hinson, but had bunch of bling parts

that vent line on the tank would scare me to death. looks like it could get broke off pretty easy then the whole thing is scrap.

How did the Ohlins shock perform compared to stock and compared to the A-kit Showa?

Very nice build.

Upgrade to the stock 2015 CRF450 footpeg brackets. These are lighter than the stock CR brackets and have a mud blocker design while using an identical bolt pattern. The CRF brackets are direct bolt on replacements. The stock footpeg pins and springs are also identical.

Build quality on the tank is top notch perfect fit, all the bolts lined up as they should, not a single complaint they defiantly take their time on them

Your bike's look great. I have a 2002 125 and 250 myself, the suspension for me is really hard. I broke my ankle and leg July 30th landing a jump. I don't want to high jack your thread but would love to know what I should do to upgrade my suspension.

Well there are many different options you could go (depends on your budget), revalve is a great way to get better all around performance from your suspension, on the 125 I recommend ditching the 46mm KYBs and put the same forks that your 250 (showa) has

What's the weight savings? Cool factor is very high!!

Also, where do you find these kits, I'd like to see what they have for an RM-125.

This!!! I ditched the 46mm kyb forks on my 02 125 and went with the 47mm Showa twin chambers and had factory connection valve both ends. Suspension is really really good!!
