Love it - Tried to buy the plastic for my 350 but it was sold out. I'm looking at some knock off Factory Edition Red Bull graphics on Amazon. They're made by a Chinese manufacturer but customers have mentioned they're high quality (3M backing) so it might not be too bad.

Question - What Font do you use on your number plates? I really dig it.

Hey so as I was putting a new set of graphics on I took some photos on how I drill the side plate and add a screen behind it. Many people on the Husky do this mod, I like it on my KTM to feed the airbox a little more.
First I mark out 5 holes using a washer

Use a step bit to drill holes

I use window screen from Home Depot.

3m spray glue. I also put painters tape on the graphic side so glue doesnt get on it.

Finish by paint pen coloring in the plastic in front of the screen.

That seat cover looks killer. Looking forward to see what the blue looks like. I thought the TLD bikes were awesome

Question, does anyone sell the air box plastic in anything other than white? Noticed even that TLD bike had white.

No I think they only sell white. I got lucky and found an orange airbox, that's what the team normally runs. But yeah they had white on the Washougal bikes.

I've found a source for the orange rear portion of the airbox. It seemed like a sketchy website so it could possibly be that they advertise orange, but actually never have it in stock.

http://www.cyclebuy.com/ktm/powerparts/plastics_airbox.htm

Scroll down and I believe its actually 3 from the bottom.

Every KTM dealer in Sweden could get me orange, no one was able to find a black one though. Even the Bud Racing KTM 125 had a white airbox last time I saw it, feels like they would have a black airbox if they could.

Are u talking about this rear airbox part? You have to order one for a 2017 exc model. They come black from the factory. I got mine from ktm-parts.com.

Hi I have just bought an orange air box front and rear as they come in two pieces from a Ktm dealer in the uk. He looked up the part number from the factory edition to get it. It seams like you drop the last two numbers of the part number and replace it with EB and that should give you the orange instead of the white.

Bike looks amazing, well done.

How do you like the fmf fatty/shorty combo? considering that setup for my 17 150 but not sure if I want to go shorty silencer or powercore 2.1.

I like the shorty the best for my style of riding. I tried stock silencer, old style powercore and the Turbine(With fire screen, needed for an off-road area) and hands down the shorty has more off the bottom. It might sign off a hair early but still has plenty for me to jump everything I'm gonna try.

To me, the JD jet kit($80) was one of the best mods. It was prettt spot on. I got 1/4 in or out on the air screw depending on elevation.

Not much new other then putting lots of hours on them! I did 39 hours on the 250f. The engine is back at Twisted getting a rebuild. I’ll get her all dialed in for the spring and Mammoth. Working on some new graphic ideas also.

125 has been awesome. Haven’t done anything but dial in the suspension more. I just have old plastics on now because they get so beat up.

Well it’s a never ending cycle I guess. I’m fortunate that I’m able to have a 250f and 125 because it seems like when one needs maintenance I can rely on the other to still be able to ride!

With that said, I had a tooth break on my 125 tranny that gave me a reason to do a full engine rebuild. I figured it’s a good time to tear it all down at 80hours and repaint the frame also.

I got lucky and was able to find the broken gear, KTM has them on backorder now. A shop in Nor Cal had 4 in stock, weird!
Sent the tranny to Yosh for ISF. Cylinder and crank to Millenium Tech.
Got some tricks up my sleeve like cerekote by the guys at Faster USA.

Normally I have to file this grounding area down. But this time my guy just taped it off for a much cleaner and better contact area. “All in the details” ya know Evil

Tranny the got ISF finish from Yoshimura and it’s crazy how smooth everything is, stoked on this came out!

All new bearings and lock rings for the tranny

Just getting everything done that I can while I wait for the cylinder to get back from Millenium.

Go this power valve arms from F1 micro polished. Interested to see how they feel on the track.

Having the parts finch and the service manual has made this engine rebuild pretty mellow. I got them online and had Kinkos print/bind them for me.

After a bit of a head scratcher with the tranny install, I got her all together. Things are getting close!

Everything was blasted by Millenium when they redid the cylinder

We got a runner! Besides a few bolts that needed some tightening, she was good to go!

Nicely done!
If anyone wants the 2 parts of airbox in orange, look at the 16.5 factory edition 250. It came with orange parts.

Notice any difference with that polished tranny?
On my 250f I did notice a different once they tranny was done. That bike is hard to shift.

On the 125 my first impression is no, it shifted very well already. Maybe under load it's a bit smoother and I don't miss shifts as much, but maybe a placebo effect ya know.

Id say to anyone who has the tranny apart to do it, definitely not a negative effect, but I wouldn't take the bottom end part to seek out this type of mod.
