13 RMZ450 primary drive gear removal...

The time has come to split my case to fix tranny on my ZOOK..I have it down to magneto nut and primary drive nut but need a special gear holder to get the nut loose on the primary gear..Well DANGIT that gear holder is like 250 bucks...Have any of you Suzuki doods figured out a way to get the nuts off the crank without it..

I use a brass penny or soft brass washer and put it between the gear teeth. That jams the gears enough to remove the nuts. Ive never worked on a 4t, but i cant imagine itd be any different.

Ahhhh!! I did that on the last 2 stroke i did as well..I had the clutch basket taken off already and did not remember that little tip...Thank you...I'll throw the clutch back on and give it try...
