Edited Date/Time 5/10/2017 11:58pm
Well while I am unable to afford a new bike, I was wondering would the newer front fender,f number plate, shrouds, side plates,r fender fit my older rmz250 . I really like the way the new bikes look just thought it would be cool, fun affordable way to trick my bike out? Also sorry if this has been posted before thanks for the help!

Nope, wont work. The 05/06 models can use the 07 shrouds, but nothing will line up from the 08+

the front fender and number plate will fit but you have to buy atleast the triple clamps for the 09-11 because the bolt holes for the fender don't line up

Yes, this is what i mean. I know the 08-12 450 plastic is all the same. 08+ wont work for anything older. For some reason when i read this thread i didnt see "250" I saw RMZ and assumed it was a 450, probably because thats what i ride. My bad, i have no idea about the RMZ250. Now i shall walk away and shake my head with disappointment in myself. haha.

I know for a fact that the shrouds fit. Seems like the front fender would fit, only because i dont see why it wouldnt. But im not 100% sure on that. But i do know that the rear fender and rear plates definitely will not fit.

Sorry it won't fit at all you have a 04 the year they partnered with kawi.. The bike was all redesigned in 07... If it's a custom kit your screwed but if it's prepaid put it on ebay or something! And this is my bike since I rebuilt it from a box of parts!

so what should I do ? champagne234
sell the graphics to someone with a 2007 rmz 250! theres nothing you can do! none of the plastics on a 07 will fit your 04. or you can send the graphics back to whoever made them and say they sent you the wrong years graphics for your bike!

Thought I'd share a little update to this thread.

Is it possible to mount 2010+ plastics to 2007-2009 RMZ 250? YES.
Is it easy? NO, requires drilling new mounts in subframe, reshaping the airbox (or using 2010+ probably, haven't tried it, as I cut my 07 instead). A lot of work.

In the pic below i used 07-09 front shrouds, just wrapped them in black vinyl. In order to use 2010+ shrouds you would have to fit the aluminum gas tank, as none of the holes line up.

Hey JMP,

Nothing fits straight from the newer models unfortunately, but it can be done.

Subframe mods are required to fit new panels. You have to shorten the rear brackets and drill new holes, approx 15mm closer to the front of the bike. Also you will need 2010+ airbox and relovate the right number plate lower mounting point approx 10mm towards the back of the bike.
