EDIT -- [/size:13y9wbbe]
My wife bought me a bunch more Canon stuff at X-mas, so looks like I'm staying with Canon for now.[/size:13y9wbbe]
Looking to get a D3, so the Canon stuff has to go first.
1D, 1DMkII, 300f/2.8 non IS, 70-200f/2.8 IS, 17-40, 420EX, 580EX, Sigma 1.4 and 2X converters.
Send me a PM if you need more info on any of this stuff.

The Shop
I did look it up and its close to being equal.. It comes out to $3165 US money.. So that means your camera body would be close to the same too. Roughly $2275.
Well thanks but I will keep shopping for my Xmas present to myself. If Paul responds to my PM, I will probably end up getting a used 1 Ds MII.
I will get a 300 2.8 and probably the 1D M III before the spring tho.
How much are you asking for the 17-40 and the flashes????
Good luck selling your stuff.
The Lens should sell but the body is going to be harder since it is not the (N) version. It will sell but you will probably have to take a bigger hit on it to get it to move.
Good luck.
Yes and No.
Its true that they usually get premium money for their used gear at FM. But those folk are leery of buying from a new member. Or even a older member that has zero sales record on there.
Also he has to know that he will be selling his stuff compared to others already on there selling the same gear for less.
I saw this past week where there were 3 1D MII N's that went for $2100 to $2300 US range and one at $2275 that hasn't sold.
There was also the 300mm 2.8 non IS lens on there for several days at $2850 US and not one interested party.
The main reasons are that there are now and will tons of 1d MII's on the used market over the next few months the N version is worth more than the non N version and the amount of people that want them is dropping every day. As for the lens. There are not many of them for sale but, the IS version is what every one is after.. There are few of us that want the non IS version. 85% of the people want the IS version.. and at FM they are selling the IS version of the 300 mm for between $3200 and $3500.
You can get a brand new one for $3800..
I have been over there shopping the past week and am getting tempted by the 1Ds M II's going for around $4100.. That might be what I shoot with this summer along with the 1d M III.
So I say it is risky.. But its free to list so it could be worth a shot. To get his hope up that every thing will go in less than a week though is not close to being true.
Can't wait to see more of your stuff, Squid. The new Nikon should do very well in your capable hands.
